National symposium entitled "Plant diversity and Resource: Evolution, Analyses, Stress and Challenges and Palaeophytodiversity : its Aspects and Prospects", held on 20th - 22nd December 2011, jointly with Department of Botany and CAS in Botany, University of Calcutta (Conveners : Prof. Subir Bera And Prof. N.D. Paria).

National Symposium on “Plant Diversity: Structure, Function, Utilization and Conservation”, held on 4th December 2014, jointly with Department of Botany and CAS in Botany, University of Calcutta (Conveners: Prof. N.D. Paria and Prof. Sandip Mukhopadhyay).

Botanical Excursion : Like previous year this year also the executive Council of the Botanical Society of Bengal arranged a whole day Botanical Excursion-cum-picnic at the Nalban, Saltlake on Sunday, the 12th February, 2012 under the joint management of Prof. Salil K. Choudhuri and Dr. M.S. Mondal. Thirty nine members and guests participated in the above excursion.
